The reigning World Series champion Atlanta Braves will be defending their title come October. They've already won six more games than they did in 2021, with nine games still left to play. And just like the legendary '90s Braves squads, a big reason for their success in 2022 is their starting rotation, with Kyle Wright, Spencer Strider, and Max Fried all enjoying breakout seasons. Unfortunately for Atlanta, the division-rival N.Y. Mets also have a stellar pitching staff that might lead them to the division crown, forcing the Braves to play in the Wild Card round. But hey, things went well for them last season as a Wild Card team, and with another season of experience, the 2022 Braves team may be a tougher out than last year's World Series champs.
Which brings us to today's quiz of the day. A pitcher reaching the 20-win mark is not the MLB milestone it once was, but it is still an impressive feat regardless. Since the 2001 MLB season, there have been 56 pitchers who won 20 games in a single season, including Wright, who looks like he'll be this season's lone 20-game winner. So with that in mind, how many of those 56 can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
